DFAT Engagement on International Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP27)

Online Community Engagement Software

As the main agency managing Australia’s international engagement in climate change, DFAT is stepping-up its stakeholder engagement in the lead-up to UNFCCC COP27.

We will hold a series of stakeholder consultation events leading-up to COP27. These are intended for individuals and organisations with an interest in engaging on international climate change issues and provide practical information on the UNFCCC. Your engagement helps to inform our approach to climate change negotiations and the action agenda.

What is the COP?

The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the decision-making body of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). It is where the international community comes together to discuss key themes and make policy decisions around climate change. The COP27 is set to take place in Sharm El-Sheikh on 7- 18 November 2022.
